NOTRE DAME DE LOURDES, Man. — A man is dead and a woman is in hospital after a two-vehicle crash on a slush-covered southern Manitoba road.
RCMP say a southbound car crossed into the oncoming lane on Provincial Road 244 Monday afternoon and collided with a sport-utility vehicle, about eight kilometres north of Notre Dame de Lourdes.
The car ended up in the ditch.
A 62-year-old Winnipeg man who was driving the first vehicle was pronounced dead at hospital.
The 33-year-old woman who was at the wheel of the SUV suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say it was snowing at the time and that the weather is considered a contributing factor.
