WINNIPEG — One person is in hospital after a fire broke out at an apartment complex in Winnipeg.
It happened Wednesday afternoon at a three-storey building at 426 Maryland St.
Witnesses say a woman was brought out of the building and put into an ambulance.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services said one person was taken to hospital in stable condition.
Clara Baker, who lives across the street, said she saw the building was on fire.
“I looked to the second floor and there were flames shooting out of the window,” Baker said.
The fire has been brought under control.
