Mark your calendars: Rodarte does Target

In possibly the most unlikely high/low design collaboration yet, Rodarte will team up with Target to design a capsule collection for its Go International line. Kate and Laura Mulleavy produce the most rarefied (and expensive) works for their CFDA award-winning line.

So when Target tells WWD that their work for the affordable, mass market chain will feature "a rich mix of patterns and fabrications" priced from $9.99 to $79.99 US we have a hard time picturing how that will work out. But then again, we had the same reaction when H&M announced its partnership with Comme des Garçons and that collection ended up looking great.

The Rodarte Go collection will hit stores and the Target Web site on December 20.
