Gandolfini Shows Where His Inner Wild Thing Is

by: Steve Gow November 06, 2009 9:49 AM comments: (0)

James Gandofini has gotten a bad rap.

Sure, the poor thespian will be forever saddled with the predictable typecasting of a “Tony Soprano” type as long as he acts. Thanks, Sopranos.

And yes, one of the vocal stars of Where the Wild Things Are is not exactly known for having a frothy-light sense of humor. His stone-cold personality makes Tommy Lee Jones seem gregarious in comparison.

But you got to give the dude credit.  He does not take any guff.

And for a malcontent like myself – especially one who wades hip-deep in the muck that is Movieland with its celebrity obsessions, annoying, prying paparazzos and overhyped untalents…well, Gandolfini just brings a smile to my face.

Thanks for just being there, Mr. Gando.

Wow, now that is an impressive costume. The attention to detail makes me wonder how many hours he spent on it.
