The 2013 Major League Soccer season hasn't even ended, with the MLS Cup match between Sporting Kansas City and Real Salt Lake scheduled for Dec. 7, but there is already chatter about next year.
The MLS released the 2014 schedule on Monday, providing a look ahead for the Vancouver Whitecaps.
The Whitecaps open the season at BC Place Stadium against the New York Red Bulls on March 8, and will close the regular season out on Oct. 25 against the Colorado Rapids, the same team that eliminated the local club from playoff contention this year.
Looking to defend their Cascadia Cup title, the Whitecaps play the Seattle Sounders FC three times, including twice at home.
The Whitecaps host the Sounders May 24 and July 5, and will travel to Seattle and CenturyLink Field on Oct. 10. That game will also be broadcast on the NBC Sports Network.
The Whitecaps also player their fellow Cascadia Cup rivals from Portland three times.
The Timbers will host the Whitecaps twice, on June 1 and Sept. 20, with one other meeting back at BC Place on Aug. 30.

The Whitecaps also announced the club will not pick up the option on Greg Klazura's contract, making him available for today's MLS Waiver Draft.
Klazura, 24, spent two seasons with the Vancouver side. He was picked up in the 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft. He made only two appearances with the club, both coming in the 2013 season.
According to the MLS Players Union, Klazura made $46,500 in guaranteed compensation this season.
The MLS Waiver Draft begins at 12:30 p.m. PT today.
