OHL Roundup: Kole Sherwood lifts Rangers to 5-3 win over Spirit

SAGINAW, Mich. — Kole Sherwood scored the winning goal 14:55 into the third period to lift the Kitchener Rangers to a 5-3 win over the Saginaw Spirit on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Logan Stanley, Givani Smith, Adam Liska and Nick McHugh also scored for the Rangers (27-13-2).

Mason Kohn, Keaton Middleton and Danny Katic scored for the Spirit (21-16-3).

Mario Culina kicked out 20 shots for Kitchener. Evan Cormier turned made 24 saves for Saginaw.

The Rangers went 2-for-3 on the power play while the Spirit were 1 for 5 with the man advantage.
