What kind of magical hallway can you be in and confab with Tom Waits, Sarah Ferguson, Verne Troyer and Lily Cole? a TIFF one right here in downtown TO. Ferguson, - does she have a residual title these days? - looked mighty tired after a long flight but made up for it in volume and spunk promoting The Young Victoria. Tom Waits, who if dogs could speak would sound like him, refusing to talk about music ... he's an actor, see, in The Imginarium of Dr. Parnassus. And to really bring it home, a surprise free buffet of Canadian delights - wings, tidbits, dougnuts and wine! It would have been the perfect day if one of my interview subjects hadn't blown me off to watch the White Stripes news conference. One more interview to go. I need a post-TIFF blood tranfusion and a long rest.
