A Toronto-based birth doula believes that having an orgasm during birth is not that far-fetched. Amanda Spakowski, a childbirth educator and owner of The Nesting Place Prenatal Classes and Doula Care, often suggests that couples be loving and intimate during labour, including kissing and cuddling. On June 30, she is running a free service in Toronto for pregnant couples to meet a doula suitable to them. She calls it Doula Speed Dating and it’s taking place at Urban Chiropractic, 18 Lola Rd., at 7 p.m.
