Toronto police are questioning a woman after a bizarre attack where a man’s body was dumped from a speeding car on Highway 401 yesterday afternoon, creating traffic mayhem.

After the car, a champagne-coloured Lexus, sped away, stunned motorists stopped to call police, turning Canada’s busiest highway into a parking lot just as rush hour began.

Dozens of cars stood empty and motionless in their lanes, abandoned by drivers eager to escape the gridlock. Others were able to turn around and leave the highway, with the help of emergency personnel.

“A person has been taken in for questioning in relation to what occurred on the highway,” Toronto Police Const. Tony Vella said,

Toronto Police were called around 2:45 p.m. to the eastbound collector lanes of Highway 401, near Keele Street, where they found the man’s body.
