Hamilton Police are appealing to the public for information after an attempted abduction on a residential street in Gershome yesterday morning.
A 12-year-old girl alone with her five-year-old brother left home around 8:30 a.m. on Tindale Court and began walking northbound through a Quigley Road parking lot.
A man in the parking lot approached the siblings and grabbed the 12-year-old by the arm. As she managed to struggle free, the man grabbed the brother.
The 12-year-old started screaming for help, which eventually scared the man off. He ran to his vehicle and fled the area south on Quigley Road, police said.
The car is described as black with a white stripe down the hood.
