Actor Colin Farrell is glad he failed an audition for Irish pop group Boyzone, because he wouldn’t have “lasted too long” in the band, imdb.com reports. Farrell tried out for the boyband in the ’90s while he was a struggling actor in Ireland, but he was rejected for his lack of vocal talent.
Boyzone went on to score a string of chart successes in the United Kingdom, returning last year for a reunion tour. Farrell eventually landed a role in British drama series Ballykissangel in 1998 and went on to forge a high-profile career in Hollywood.
