Jessica Alba won’t face any criminal charges for plastering posters throughout Oklahoma City to raise awareness of the endangered great white shark, tvguide.com reports.

“The decision has been made to close the case,” police Sgt. Gary Knight said in a statement. “The case will not be presented to the district attorney’s office.”

Alba’s act was a part of a campaign for White Mike, an L.A.-based group that aims to spread awareness of the great white shark species’ decreasing population, according to E! News.

The 28-year-old actress could have faced a felony vandalism charge and possible jail time, but the property owners declined to press charges, E! reports.

Alba released an apology for her actions last week after photos surfaced of her plastering posters onto a downtown bridge, utility boxes and a billboard for the United Way charity.
