A toll-free line for information on swine influenza (H1N1) in the province has been created.

The toll-free line will give Nova Scotians an opportunity to get the information they need and to make decisions about their own health care, a government release says.

The phone line hours of operation will be 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., daily.

The toll-free line within Nova Scotia is 1-888-451-4222.

The best way to avoid illness is through prevention. Wash your hands thoroughly and often, cough into your sleeve and stay away from public places if you are sick.

Please visit www.gov.ns.ca/hpp for more information.
