Arnie’s back — as promised — and he’s carrying the Olympic Flame through Stanley Park on Friday for the last day of the torch relay.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is part of a star-studded cast of torchbearers — most of whom are Canadian — carrying the flame through Vancouver as it winds its way to B.C. Place.

Homegrown singers Jann Arden and Michael Bublé will be running on Thursday, as will former Vancouver Canuck Richard Brodeur. Canadian astronaut Julie Payette is also taking part in the relay’s final days.

After the Governator makes his run, he’ll pass the torch to Sebastian Coe, chair of the London 2012 Organizing Committee.

The fathers of two of Canada’s most beloved icons — Terry Fox’s dad Rolly Fox and Wayne Gretzky’s father Walter Gretzky — will carry the torch through English Bay.

By then, the flame will have travelled 45,000 kilometres and passed through the hands of 12,000 Canadians in 1,000 communities in the longest torch relay in Olympic history.

Former Canadian speed skater Catriona Le May Doan and tri-athlete Simon Whitfield lit the first torch after the flame landed in Victoria from Greece more than 100 days ago.

The identity of the final torchbearer, who will run it into B.C. Place to light the cauldron during the opening ceremonies, is being kept secret and is anyone’s guess.

“Let me just answer it this way by saying the list is not exhaustive, so I will let you do your own research ... but I actually believe, that Betty Fox is running in Coquitlam,” said John Furlong, CEO of the local organizing committee. “These are just the ones I’ve added today.”
