Sea Dogs advance to third straight QMJHL final

One half of the QMJHL's President Cup Final is set.

Stanislav Galiev scored the game-winning goal at 11:19 of overtime as the host Saint John Sea Dogs defeated the Chicoutimi Sagueneens 4-3 on Saturday night to win the QMJHL semifinal 4-1.

It was Saint John's second straight win.

The defending champion Sea Dogs advance to the QMJHL final for the third straight year and will face the winner of the Halifax Mooseheads-Rimouski Oceanic semifinal.

The Oceanic lead the Mooseheads 3-2, with Game 6 set for Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Metro Centre.
