Mooseheads' MacKinnon to miss up to two weeks with lower body injury

One of the Halifax Mooseheads best players will on the shelf for up to two weeks.

The Mooseheads announced Monday that Nathan MacKinnon will be out of the lineup for the next seven to 14 days because of injury suffered in the second period of the team's 8-5 road loss to the Moncton Wildcats on Friday night.

The team isn't specifically saying what is wrong with MacKinnon, but he could be seen favouring his right leg after trying to get the puck in the neutral zone. He left the game and didn't return.

MacKinnon is second in Mooseheads scoring with 28 goals and 69 points in 41 games.
