British police have released security footage of an axe-wielding crew of robbers on motorcycles who made off with a haul worth more then $3 million after they stormed a London mall and robbed a jewelry store.
According to The Guardian, the six bike-borne thieves cruised into North London's Brent Cross shopping centre around 10:15 a.m., startling those inside as they made their way to a Fraser Hart jewelry store.
After smashing display windows with the axe, the crooks pocketed an expensive trove of jewelry, including Rolex and Cartier watches, before returning to their bikes and fleeing the mall.
Police say nobody was injured in the brazen heist, aside from an elderly man who was treated for shock at the scene.
The Sun reported that none of the motorcycles had registration plates, but they appeared to be branded with "team numbers." Police found the bikes at a nearby golf course shortly after the robbery.
No arrests have been made.
