When complete, SkyCity’s 45-storey tower will be Manitoba’s tallest structure. The mixed-use development includes retail, parking and office space on the first eight floors. A full 35 storeys are dedicated to luxury residential condominiums. And although occupancy isn’t expected until 2019, over 150 units have been purchased since the project was announced last fall.

But it’s the common spaces that steal the show, including a gym, basketball court, hot tubs, a fire pit, dog run and private barbecue areas. The SkyLounge on the 45th floor includes a games room, kitchen, dining room, theatre and lounge areas.
Location and transit
Transit access doesn’t get any easier. SkyCity is at 245 Graham Ave. directly on the major transit corridor that connects to everything downtown and beyond. The development includes ample parking on the site below the bank of condos. But walking is likely a preferred mode of transportation for residents since services, entertainment and shopping are all only steps away.
In the neighbourhood
SkyCity rests in the SHED (Sports Hospitality Entertainment District) of downtown Winnipeg. The tower itself promises retail and entertainment options on the first few floors. Beyond that, MTS Centre, the Millennium Library and the Winnipeg Art Gallery are within walking distance and you’re never far from The Forks or the Exchange District for more entertainment choices.
